On Thursday night, three of our students had the privilege of volunteering with Vinnies Van, offering food, conversation, and compassion in Mt Druitt and Parramatta to some of our most vulnerable community members. This eye-opening and deeply moving experience reminded us all of the power of kindness and connection. Angela Younan shared, "It was an invaluable experience that increased our awareness of the homeless communities around Sydney... an opportunity to help those less fortunate by providing them with food and someone to talk to." Rosemary reflected, "Vinnies Van is an insightful opportunity which allowed me to actively engage with our community and reminded me about the need for compassion." We are proud of our students for stepping up, showing heart, and choosing to make a difference. ๐

As dawn breaks on ANZAC Day, it marks 110 years since Australian and New Zealand soldiers faced their first major battle of World War I in Gallipoli. They fought with endurance, courage, ingenuity, good humour, and mateship โ what weโve come to know as the ANZAC spirit. On ANZAC Day, we will honour their legacy and all who have followed in their footsteps. Lest we forget. ๐บ

With deep sorrow and profound gratitude, we mourn the passing of Pope Francis A humble shepherd, a voice for the poor, and a witness of mercy, Pope Francis reminded us always to be a Church that goes out into the streets, that heals, and that hopes. โEternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.โ As we grieve, we also trust in the promise of Christโs resurrection: โMay the angels lead him into paradise, and may he be greeted by the saints in glory.โ Please keep Pope Francis and the Church in your prayers.

Holy Thursday is a time for us to reflect on Christ's gift of the Eucharist and His call to servant leadership. In this Jubilee Year of Hope, we are reminded that our faith is anchored in the love Christ showed at the Last Supperโa love that calls us to humility, sacrifice, and hope in God's promises.
