On Friday 16th June the NSWCCC Cross Country Carnival was held at Sydney Motor Sports Park at Eastern Creek. St Agnes was fortunate enough to have three students to represent not only St Agnes, but also PDSSSC, at the NSWCCC Carnival.
The three students were Anyanya Muorwal, Wol Tong and Tong Muorwal. There were 50 students in each age group from all around NSW. The students did extremely well with Tong finishing 37th in the 15 years boys, Anyanya 17th the 16 years boys and Wol finished an impressive 11th in the 16 years boys. The top 10 from every age group goes through to the NSW All Schools Carnival with Wol narrowly missing out.
A huge congratulations is to be given to these students who ran on the day and represented St Agnes and PDSSSC with pride. Your efforts did not go unnoticed.

Last Friday, St Agnes students and Miss Clark joined Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales and hundreds of other students at Hyde Park for a moving ceremony to commemorate the sacrifice of Indigenous servicemen and women. Year 11 and Year 7 students Isla, Izaiah, Tahlia and Shay-Leigh joined the Jannawi Dance Clan to perform the opening dance, showcasing the strength of culture, connection and community. Adding even more personal significance, CSPDโs Jarara team was joined by a special guest this year, Uncle Danny Eastwood, a celebrated artist and the proud grandfather of Kyle and Danny Eastwood. CSPD joins 20th anniversary tribute to Indigenous Veterans
Since its inception in 2007, the annual Indigenous Veterans Commemoration Service has united Australians to remember and honour the service and sacrifice of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander veterans. Students and staff from schools across the Parramatta Diocese along with members of the Jarara Cultural Centre joined Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales and hundreds of other students at Hyde Park for the moving ceremony on Friday 29 May.

Students selected a cultural group, other than their own, that has immigrated to Australia and investigated the historical, social, and culinary factors that define the groupโs food identity. They then analysed the influence this culture has had on Australian cuisine and prepared an authentic dish representing their chosen group. ๐ฉโ๐ณ๐ฅ It was wonderful to see the studentsโ creativity, research skills, and cultural appreciation showcased through such a variety of delicious dishes! ๐โจ

Entering our 5th year of this event, the World's Greatest Shave is an initiative run by the Leukaemia Foundation to raise awareness and funding to assist those affected by cancer.
