Palm Sunday Walk
01 Apr 2016

In 1985, Pope John Paul II established World Youth Day – an annual diocesan youth event to be celebrated each Palm Sunday.
The procession traveled down Church Street, Parramatta to St Patrick’s Cathedral where everyone gathered for Palm Sunday Mass
On Sunday 20 March 2016 representatives from all the Diocesan High Schools met at Parramatta Town Hall to participate in the Palm Sunday Procession. Miles Ponce and Josephine Zammit represented St Agnes and carried our school banner with pride.
Following the Mass all schools present came together for a World Youth Day gathering where the St Agnes World Youth Day representatives were present for this event.
The pilgrims from St Agnes are Miss Nikki Valleri, Mr Harry Sadsad and Martin Mangahas of Year 10.
Over the coming months the pilgrims will participate in WYD formation sessions, in preparation for WYD in Krakow, Poland in August.

⚓ 𝐀 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐲! 🌊 Students from Years 9–11 interested in ADF careers enjoyed an unforgettable day exploring life at sea. After a trip to Darling Harbour and The Gallery at ICC Sydney, they met Navy experts — from chefs to engineers and submariners. A landing craft then took them to HMAS Canberra, where they toured the ship, tested fire hoses, signalled with flags, and experienced life on board. A huge thank you to Mrs Millwood for joining us on this inspiring adventure! 👏 #RoyalAustralianNavy #ADF #StudentExperience #Inspiration
