On Saturday 6th June, 2015 the St Agnes Dance Crew competed in a Hip Hop Dance Competition at the Homebush State Sports Centre.
Students had been preparing and practising their moves since the beginning of the year in preparation for this performance. As part of the 'Bring it On' competition, teams had to perform a 5 minute (maximum) Hip Hop dance and were judged on the originality of the music, their costumes & presentation, the difficulty of their choreography, their synchronisation, the X factor and creativity of the performance. The competition was a 2 heat event with 9 teams in each heat.
The judges chose 3 teams, and the audience chose 3 teams as 'wild cards', to progress to the grand finals. St Agnes’ team consisted of 27 dancers, led by Miss Ibrahim, and were chosen by the audience to compete in the grand finals on the 1st August 2015.
The girls were proud to represent St Agnes at this event and are very excited to prepare for the grand final event.

Today we remember Holy Thursday, the night of the Last Supper and the beginning of Jesus’ journey to the cross. We recall the gift of the Eucharist, where Jesus shared bread and wine and called us to love and serve one another. Jesus then went to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane. In deep anguish, He turned to the Father, surrendering to His will as His hour drew near, fulfilling the Scriptures. May we take time today to pause, pray, and stay close to Him. 🙏✨
